Ink on Paper, 2023. This drawing was one of my most ambitious works to date. If you zoom in you can see thousands of tiny little dots that come together to create various forms and shadows.

This drawing holds many different stories and interpretations. Jesters historically symbolize a dual nature consisting of an outer layer of comedy/buffoonery and a deeper layer of wisdom and intelligence. This drawing came to me after I participated in a public event where I felt I didn’t present my best. I felt like a jester up on the stage, my true talent hidden away from the stone faced crowd. The next day I woke up with this image pressed into my mind and worked as quickly as possible to bring it to life as a way of healing.
