This image to me is representative of growth through restriction or fear. The hands are holding her in place while a lilies pop through, beginning to bloom. My hope is this drawing acts as a reminder that we are stronger than we realize, this too shall pass, and as the hands grip us tighter today, our flowers bloom tomorrow.

I used a combination of stippling and crosshatching to create this image, finishing with a white pen in order to create a greater value range.
